Welcome to North Yorkshire Community Messaging

Alert message sent 07/04/2021 09:52:00

Information sent on behalf of North Yorkshire Police

Good morning and thank you for signing up to North Yorkshire Police’s new Community Messaging system.

Following our emails over the last few weeks, we have moved from Everbridge to a new supplier for the system (VisaV). As such, you will still receive alerts from North Yorkshire Police but they will appear from 'alert@neighbourhoodalert.co.uk'. You can log in to the system at this new url: www.northyorkshirecommunitymessaging.co.uk to update your contact preferences.

There will be a reduction in the messages you receive in the short term as we switch over and train our teams on how to use it but longer term we hope to improve the service we provide to you through Community Messaging with more regular updates from your local teams.

We have received some emails from subscribers concerned that alerts from this new system might be a scam and we want to reassure you this is not the case. Emails will appear from 'alert@neighbourhoodalert.co.uk' so you know how to check if it is a legitimate communication.

If you have friends, family, neighbours and colleagues who you think would benefit from receiving our alerts about crime appeals, scams to be aware of and ways you can get involved with North Yorkshire Police in your community then please forward this message on and let them know they can sign up at our website: www.northyorkshire.police.uk/nycm or at the link above.

You can also find out what's happening in your local area by following us on social media, find your local accounts on Twitter and Facebook here: www.northyorkshire.police.uk/do-it-online/social-media-nyp

Please do get in touch if you have any concerns or problems using the system and we will do our best to help.
