Bonfire night

Bonfire night

Good morning,

On behalf of North Yorkshire Fire:

🎆 Enjoy the fireworks. Stay safe. Look out for each other.

As communities across York and North Yorkshire prepare for Bonfire Night, we're reminding everyone to celebrate responsibly and put safety first.

If you want to watch fireworks there are lots of organised displays, take a look @visitnorthyorkshire_  for one near you. https://visitnorthyorkshire.com/events/bonfire-night

If you're planning your own display:

✅ Buy fireworks from reputable retailers

✅ Keep them in a closed box

✅ Use them one at a time

✅ Light them at arm's length and stand well back

✅ Check bonfires for wildlife before lighting

✅ Keep water or a hosepipe nearby

Please also look out for friends, younger children, older people, pets and vulnerable neighbours so everyone can enjoy the celebrations safely.
