Illegal Fishing Derwernthorpe |
||
|
We have received reports of individuals fishing on privately owned land at Derwenthorpe pond without permission. Fishing without the landowner's consent (JRHT) may constitute trespassing and can negatively impact local wildlife and the ability for residents to enjoy the area as intended
If you witness anyone fishing where they should not be:
Several organisations have powers to deal with illegal fishing: To help prevent fishing in this area:✅ Report damaged fences, gates, or access points to landowners as soon as is practical. ✅ Share information about suspicious activity with local authorities and community groups to raise awareness.
Working together helps protect our waterways, wildlife. If you have concerns about illegal fishing or related anti-social behaviour in your area, please report it. Your information could help prevent further offences and protect our local environment.
Kind regards, Your Local Neighbourhood Policing Team
