                  We are currently investigating the incident below that occurred near your property. As part of our enquiries we would like to ask if you saw or heard anything that might assist us.

We are investigating a burglary which has occurred at Danby Castle. I am asking residents near the location if they could kindly check any CCTV they may have of any vehicles passing their address between the hours of 04:00-04:30hrs of the morning of Sunday 27th September 2026. It is believed the suspect has left Danby Castle at 04:00hrs and would have had access to a vehicle.

Please be aware, that this was a burglary in your immediate area/community. Please ensure any garages, store rooms or sheds are secured with good locks and security measures are in place. We strongly advise fitting a shed/garage alarm which can be purchased for as little as £10 from DIY stores or online, they are battery operated and are very easy to fit. It's also a good idea to lock items together or to a secure fitting inside your building using a cable lock or chain. Further, the installation of modern CCTV systems around your business/property, covering exit points and directions of travel in/out of property grounds will, in the event of a rural burglary, greatly help our investigation.
