Appeal

Good afternoon,

We’re appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following a road traffic collision on  the B1363, York Road, approaching Sutton-on-the-Forest.  

It happened at approximately 3.15pm on Wednesday 12 August and involved a red Vauxhall Astra and a silver Audi. 

Sadly, following a period of time in hospital for treatment to minor injuries, the driver of the red Astra, a man in his 70s,  has passed away. 

We’re appealing for any witnesses to the collision, anyone who may have seen the vehicles prior to the collision, or anyone with relevant dashcam footage, to contact us.

The driver of the Audi has assisted officers with their enquiries. 

The road was closed for a number of hours on the date while we investigated the scene and to allow the vehicles involved to be recovered.
