We are appealing for information following a theft from a motor vehicle in York.

Over £7,000 worth of fishing equipment was stolen from a vehicle on Burton Stone Lane, York, between 07/07/2026 and 08/07/2026.

The stolen property includes a quantity of high-value fishing tackle and equipment used for angling.

👀 We are appealing to anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area, saw individuals acting suspiciously around vehicles, or has information about the theft to come forward.

📹 We are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have relevant CCTV, dashcam, or doorbell footage that could assist our enquiries.

🛒 We would also ask members of the public to remain vigilant for any fishing equipment being offered for sale online, through social media marketplaces, local selling groups, or at car boot sales.
