Amber Heat Health Alert |
||
|
An Amber Heat-Health Alert has been issued for our area, signalling a period of prolonged hot weather that could have serious impacts on people’s health and well-being.
While many of us may enjoy the sunshine, it’s important to remember that high temperatures can pose significant risks, particularly for those who are more vulnerable in our communities.
⚠️ Who is most at risk? Those experiencing homelessness
🤝 Please look out for one another We are asking everyone to check in on neighbours, friends, and family members, especially those who may be vulnerable. A simple knock at the door, phone call, or message can make a real difference.
Consider: Making sure they know how to seek help if they feel unwell
☀️ Stay safe in the heat Never leave children or pets in parked vehicles
🆘 When to seek help If someone appears seriously unwell - dizziness, confusion, or difficulty breathing please seek medical advice immediately or call emergency services if required.
Hot weather can be particularly dangerous if we’re not prepared, but together as a community, we can help protect those most at risk.
Let’s stay alert, stay safe, and most importantly look out for each other. 💛 | ||
