🚨 Knife Crime Prevention – Selby District

A national campaign to reduce knife crime is running this week up to 24th May 2026.

We’re working to keep knives off our streets and prevent people from carrying them.

👮‍♀️ North Yorkshire Police are focusing on: 

✔️ School education visits
✔️ Early intervention with young people
✔️ Community engagement & enforcement

🗑️ Knife bins available (safe & anonymous):
📍 Selby – Back Micklegate Car Park (YO8 3GH)
📍 Tadcaster – Central Car Park (LS24 9AT)

If you need to dispose of a knife:
➡️ Wrap it in thick paper/cardboard
➡️ Secure with tape
➡️ Place it safely in the bin hatch
