Advance Notice of Overnight A64 Closures in Tadcaster

North Yorkshire Police has been given advance notice of a series of overnight closures on the A64 carriageway in Tadcaster. The closures are required to support an essential bridge parapet renewal scheme scheduled to begin in April.

The works, which are being carried out by National Highways, are necessary to ensure the long‑term safety and integrity of the structure. To allow engineers to complete the project safely and efficiently, sections of the A64 will be closed overnight on dates to be confirmed by the contractor.

Traffic diversions will be clearly signposted, and motorists are advised to plan extra time for their journeys, particularly during the overnight periods when closures are in place.

North Yorkshire Police will continue to work closely with National Highways throughout the duration of the scheme, ensuring disruption is minimised and that residents and road users are kept informed.
