Stealing alcohol from Sainsburys landed a Scarborough man before the Magistrates last week. Neil David Gordon, 51, of no fixed abode pleaded guilty to the theft of £91.50 of alcohol from the supermarket on Falsgrave Road in Scarborough. Gordon was given a £60 fine and was handed a 3-year Criminal Behaviour Order. The terms of which prohibit him from entering: 1. Boots, 64-66 Baxtergate, Whitby, North Yorkshire; 2. Boyes, Station Square, Whitby, North Yorkshire; 3. One Stop, 52-56 North Marine Road, Scarborough, North Yorkshire; 4. Sports Direct, Pavilion House, Scarborough, North Yorkshire; 5. Sainsburys, Falsgrave Road, Scarborough, North Yorkshire; 6. Sainsburys, 62 Ramshill Road, Scarborough, North Yorkshire; 7. Aldi, Brook Street, Scarborough, North Yorkshire; 8. Heron Foods, 71 Newborough, Scarborough, North Yorkshire;
Gordon was also told he could not stay on any retail premises when asked to leave by staff. If Gordon fails to abide by the requirements of the order, he will be committing a criminal offence, which may result in prison, detention and/or ordered to pay a fine. The order will expire on 19 March 2029.
