🌟 West Neighbourhood Policing Team – Weekly Round‑Up 🌟 

This week, the West Neighbourhood Policing Team has been working hard across your community. Here’s a summary of some of the activity we’ve been involved in: 

👟 Targeted Foot Patrols 

Officers have been carrying out foot patrols in and around the Westfield ward, focusing on areas where we’ve had recent reports of anti‑social behaviour. These patrols provide visibility, reassurance, and opportunities to speak directly with residents. 

🙌 Missing Person Located Safe and Well 

The team assisted in the search for a missing person. Thanks to quick work by officers, the individual was found safe and well. 

👮‍♂️ Response to Large Youth Gathering 

Officers attended reports of a loud group of around 30 youths. The group was safely dispersed, and alcohol was seized from those underage to prevent further issues. 

🤝 Community Engagement 

Officers and PCSOs attended community events to speak with local residents and partner agencies, strengthening relationships and listening to local concerns. 

🛍️ Shoplifting Arrests 

• A female shoplifter was detained by PCSOs for several thefts and has since been arrested, charged, and released on court bail. 

• PCSOs also caught another female shoplifter in the act inside a store. She was arrested, charged, and released on court bail. 

🔍 Wanted Male Arrested 

Neighbourhood officers located and arrested a male who was circulated as wanted for failing to appear at court and for theft offences. He was charged and taken to the next available court.

🛑 Shop Thefts & Section 4 Offence Arrest

Neighbourhood officers arrested a male in connection with several shop thefts in the Woodthorpe area. He was also arrested on suspicion of a Section 4 Public Order offence. He was taken into custody for questioning and has been remanded to appear at the next available court.
