Appeal for information regarding multiple incidents of stolen vehicles, tools and vehicle interference in the Richmondshire area. |

We are investigating multiple incidents where vehicles have been stolen / interfered with, or have had items stolen which has been reported to us. These incidents have happened between the 7th to the 9th of March 2026 in multiple locations in Richmondshire. Below is a brief description of the incidents with their corresponding locations -
07/03 Tools were stolen from a Transit Van at Leyburn Rugby Club. Incident no 12260041957 08-09/03 A Red Honda 500 TRX Quad was stolen from a farm Temple Bank to Swinthwaite. Incident no 12260042478. 08-09/03 A white VW Volkswagen Up -registration NX18 OWO was stolen from a driveway in Castle Bolton. Incident no 12260042420 09/03 Damage occurred to the back quarter window on a white Toyota Hilux on Sleegill, Richmond. Incident no 12260042425. 09/03 Damage occurred to the back quarter window on a blue Toyota Hilux on Wensleydale Avenue, Leyburn. Incident no 12260042407. 09/03 Damage occurred to the back quarter window on a orange Toyota Hilux in Hudswell, Richmond. Incident no 12260042577.

Please be mindful not to leave valuables in vehicles, keys and vehicles easily accessible, and to secure your property as much as possible. Certain types of machinery have a generic key that can be easily obtained of sites on the internet, so it is worth investing in extra security to prevent the theft of these vehicles / machinery.
