Theft from Vehicles, Beal, Eggborough

On 24th January 2026, North Yorkshire Police received reports from the villages of Beal and Eggborough of two people entering vehicles and taking belongings from within.

The person(s) described as male youths on some reports were driven to the locations by a third person in a silver car.

They exited the vehicle whilst it waited for them and tried vehicle door handles, gaining entry to those that had been left unlocked.

Items such as clothing, phone chargers and other items were stolen from within.

Reports specifically relate to Gables Close, Beal and on Chestnut Drive and Maiden Way in Eggborough. Activity started at 0450hrs through to approx.. 0515hrs on 24th January , it would appear that they have left one village to attend the next.

Police have conducted house to house investigation including CCTV enquiries.
