Share Your Views on Proposed Public Space Protection Order

Dear Resident,

Over the summer, the Whitby Neighbourhood Policing Team reviewed several reports of anti-social behaviour linked to unauthorised camping in Pannett Park and around Whitby Abbey.

Currently, the powers available to both the Police and North Yorkshire Council to address these issues are limited.

To help tackle this, North Yorkshire Council is proposing to introduce a Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) covering Pannett Park and the area surrounding Whitby Abbey.

Before this PSPO can be adopted, the Council would like to hear your views.
