Dear Resident

We have had information about anti-social behaviour and crime in your area. This has included concerns in relation to drug dealing, fights and noise nuisances. We believe a lot of these incidents have gone unreported.

Reporting information about drug-related crime

Anyone with any information about suspected drug-related crime are urged to make a report via the North Yorkshire Police website or by calling 101, select option 4, and speak to the Force Control Room.

Always dial 999 if an emergency response is required.

The signs of drug dealing can include

Increased callers at a property at all times of the day or night

Increase in cars pulling up for short periods of time

Different accents at a property

Anti-social behaviour at a property

Not seeing the resident for long periods of time

Drug-related rubbish – small plastic bags, syringes

Windows covered or curtains closed for long periods

Your address is within the parameters of the Public Space Protection Order which prohibits the consumption of alcohol in the street. If you are seeing this on a regular basis, please get in touch. Even if we don't catch the person in the act, the council are able to use your information to progress civil orders against offenders.
