Overnight we have unfortunately had two burglaries reported to us where vehicles have been stolen from residential properties.

The first report is from the Regency Place area of West Tanfield, the second report is from the Benkhill Drive area of Bedale. We have also had an attempt vehicle theft reported from Iddison Drive in Bedale.

The two vehicles stolen are a White Volkswagon Golf registration T21 MAO, and a Ford Focus ST in grey registration WV67 LBZ.

The vehicle targeted on Iddison Drive is a Black Volkswagon Golf GTI.

Can we please ask that you check your CCTV cameras if you live in any of these areas and report back anything that may have been captured. We believe the offences have occurred between the hours of 2300-0400 hours.

Can we also ask that you are extra vigilant around any suspicious incidents you see in your area, with particular attention paid to any cold callers who may be in the area. We often see that these people are scoping our properties and vehicles and may return at a later stage to steal.
