Hi Resident
Scarborough Police are appealing for information following two incidents which took place overnight between Friday 11th of July and Saturday 12th of July in Nansen Street.
A shed was broken into and a number of tools were stolen, including three plastic tool boxes (plus contents) and a garden spade. The garden spade is described as a Spear and Jackson with a dark red handle - reference 12250128977.
A van which was parked on the street was entered via the side door and three boxes of tools were removed - reference 12250128019.
We are keen to hear from anyone who may have seen or heard anything unusual in the area or who may have doorbell/CCTV footage which could assist us with our enquiries.
Although we fully appreciate the fact that the warmer weather encourages people to leave doors and windows open, this can also create opportunities for thieves. We would encourage residents to keep their doors and windows secure and any valuable items out of sight.
If you have any information relating to either of the above incidents, please contact us on 101 quoting the relevant reference number.
Kind regards
