Commercial Burglary Appeal - Richmond

Important Message – Please do not ignore

 

Police are investigating a commercial burglary in your area that occurred on Saturday 12th July shortly after midnight at the North Yorkshire Council depot on the junction of Coronation Place and Reeth Road in Richmond. Those responsible were disturbed at the time so we would be grateful if residents could check CCTV/ doorbell camera for any activation around that time which may assist us with our enquiries. 

 

Do you have any information which would assist North Yorkshire Police in finding those responsible and help keep your community safe? 

 

  • Did you or anyone who you live with, hear or see anything around the above time and date? 
  • Do you have any CCTV coverage capturing the burglary, or anything happening on the street before or after? 
  • Do you have a vehicle with a dash-cam parked in the area?

    This incident relates to a business premises, however it's a polite reminder to consider the following safety tips:

     

  • Ensure that all doors are locked overnight, and windows are locked or on a latch.
  • Remove any valuables from sight and it is advisable to keep house/cars key, wallets/purses, phones/laptops/tablets in the room where you sleep.
  • Consider fitting a security light to the side of your property.
