Were you travelling along the A168 from Thirsk to Northallerton on Monday morning? 

We’re appealing for information about the manner of driving of a blue Mercedes panel van that was seen driving along the route. 

It happened at around 7:20am on Monday 7 July 2025 and and involved the blue Mercedes van equipped with a roof rack that was reported to be carrying out dangerous manoeuvres as it travelled along the road.

We’re particularly appealing for information from anyone who may have dash-camera footage of the vehicle as it travelled along the route that would take you from South Kilvington, through Thornton-le-Street towards Thirsk Road in Northallerton.  

We are also keen to speak to a driver of a grey Range Rover who had to take evasive action to avoid the van. .
