Hello

We are looking for any witnesses who may be able to provide us with information regarding vehicle interference incident.

The incident took place at some point overnight and into the morning on 09.06.2025 outside a property on Kingston Drive, Hambleton when an unknown suspect tried to gain entry to a van parked in the road.

We are asking anyone with information regarding this case to contact us and assist in the investigation.

If you have a work van parked overnight, please keep security in mind. You can make it much harder for offenders to target your vehicle by:

  • Removing tools overnight where possible or hiding them out of sight
  • Adding internal security such as tool lockers or improved door locks
  • Fitting a vehicle alarm and tracker
  • Fitting a dash cam
  • Parking in front of CCTV or a video doorbell where possible
  • Parking on a driveway with rear doors up against a solid object
  • If you experience any issues in the area or have any useful information, we would be grateful if you could please let us know. If the issue is still ongoing please contact us on tel: 999 emergency or 101 non emergency, if not ongoing you can report online using this link https://www.northyorkshire.police.uk/

We also have property marking equipment, so if you would like your tools security marking free of charge then please contact us on the above email address. We do have security marking events across York but can also come directly to your address if you have a number of items to mark.
