The warm weather is here, and we know it’s tempting to fling open windows and doors, but don’t make it easy for opportunistic thieves!

Here are some simple tips to help keep your home safe:

🔒 Lock it or lose it. Always lock doors and windows when you leave the room, even if you’re just in the garden.
🌆 Close downstairs windows at night. It only takes a few seconds for someone to get in.
👜 Keep valuables out of sight. Don't leave bags, phones or keys near open doors or windows.
🏡 Use window restrictors. They allow air in while keeping intruders out.
🔐 Lock side gates and garages. They’re often overlooked but provide easy access.
👀 Be neighbourly. Keep an eye out for anything suspicious and report it.
