Increase in calls about sheep worrying.

As we continue to have better weather, we are having an increase in reports of attacks on sheep by dogs.  Even if YOUR dog is good around sheep, please set an example to all, and keep yours on a lead.  If you see any dogs attacking sheep, please call the police with the best location, for example What 3 Words app.  Many people are not aware of that their dogs will chase sheep or other farm animals like cows or hens, until it is too late. This is especially the case with visitors to the area, who may have dogs who have never come across farm animals.   This information is important all year round, but especially now where there are pregnant ewes and mums and lambs.  Even if you don't think that your dog is frightening to you, sheep may have a different view.  If your dog does attack any farm animal, please be honest and report it.  Please also clean up after your dogs, and keep gates closed as you found them.  Let's work together to keep the countryside safe, and clean for all.
