More Speed Checks in the Richmond Area - Can You Assist?

Dear Residents of the Richmond area,

Despite our best efforts, I am still receiving numerous speeding complaints in the Richmond area, so working in partnership with the Town Council we are about to set up a Community Speedwatch scheme and have at least 10 locations we would like to target.

We are therefore looking for willing volunteers to assist us with getting the Community Speedwatch scheme up and running as soon as possible. This will involve a training session (90 mins approximately), then you will be qualified to assist us with keeping our roads as safe as we possibly can. The more people we have volunteering, the less work individuals will have to do, plus the more locations we can target.

If you are interested, then please e mail enquiries@richmondtowncouncil.org.uk to express your interest at this stage and once we know the numbers of people interested, we will move things forward. Also, if you have any further queries in relation to this scheme, please direct them to this e mail.

This scheme will be in addition to the checks my team and I already carry out, so please be aware there will be a lot more checks very soon, so be mindful of the speed limits in the area, especially the 20 MPH ones.

If you found this alert useful, I would be really grateful if you would respond accordingly below.

Regards

Martin
