Please be aware, there was several attempt burglaries in Skipton overnight.  Offenders are ‘opportunists’ and are seen on ring doorbell footage trying door handles and then entering any property with an insecure door.   

Please ensure that all doors are locked overnight and windows are locked or on a latch. Please also remove any valuables from sight and it is advisable to keep house/cars key, wallets/purses, phones/laptops/tablets in the room where you sleep.

Your local police team are aware and have the area on their patrol plan.
