On the evening of Monday 1st December 2025 between 2100hrs and 2300hrs the local police have received several reports of an unknown male in the Selby area trying car door handles and residential properties door handles. The areas reported included Green Lane area of Brayton up towards Myrtle Avenue in the town centre. Please could you make sure that vehicles are left locked and secured overnight or when not in use, and that house doors, windows and any outbuildings are also locked and secured through the night or when left unattended.
